Faculty Reflections on Advising Students—and What's Coming Next

Faculty Reflections on Advising Students—and What's Coming Next Online

Facilitated by: Nicolle Skoien, Associate Director, Undergraduate Advising and Melissa Shew, Associate Director of Teaching Excellence

Though advising is still going on for many across campus, formal advising has mostly wrapped up, with students registering for classes for Spring. This session, hosted by the CTL and Undergraduate Advising, offers an opportunity to convene as faculty to discuss advising.

Faculty advisors and any interested faculty should come to this joint CTL + Undergraduate Advising session for three reasons:

  1. To debrief as faculty about advising this semester, including sharing patterns, trends, challenges, and opportunities experienced in your classrooms and/or as advisors;
  2. To get a sneak peek of a new and upcoming advising platform to support faculty efforts around advising;
  3. To learn effective tips and strategies for managing advising next semester
