Stepping up your D2L Game for Student Success Online
The Marquette Student Success Initiative is designed to help all Marquette students succeed. From faculty to administrators, staff to alumni/ae, we can all play a role in helping our students flourish. Research shows that the use of the LMS allows more impactful and timely feedback, engages students more deeply, and provides data that is easy and that makes sense. Increased LMS usage increases levels of students’ satisfaction with courses (Naveh et al., 2012). In traditional face-to-face courses, the LMS has the potential to extend and enhance the traditional face-to-face learning experience. Yet, an LMS often is not used to its full potential despite the greater degree of access within higher education institutions (Bousbahi & Alrazgan, 2015; Gomez, 2015; Stantchev, Colomo-Palacios, Soto-Acosta, & Misra, 2014).
Come to this session led by D2L and pedagogy experts to learn more about best practices that enhance student success and frankly make your job easier! This will include a discussion about D2L gradebook, news feature, calendar, first-day messaging, etc.
